THANK YOU to all my family and friends near and far that sent me birthday wishes this year!! Words cannot express how much love and respect I have for all of you and how blessed I am to have such an amazing network in my life! Usually people get gifts on their special day, but today, I want to share a very special gift with you all! A lot of hard work, time, and patience went into this project, and I hope it touches your heart in some way, shape, or form. Special thanks to Ashar and Sufyan, Kami Jee, Naina Navni, and Farah Quadri for all their efforts in making this lovely track come to life! The song Maula is dedicated in loving memory to Baber and Haris Suleman, two local heroes whose story deeply touched our hearts. They shared a common belief as us that many ills of the world such as extremism, poverty, and violence could all be remedied by education and they set out on a journey to fly around the world in 30 days to raise funds for education. Unfortunately, they did not survive this journey but we will continue to carry on their legacy and their message to promote education for the poor and to show our fellow Americans that there is a brave hero in each one of us.
