THANK YOU to all of you who helped make part of this trip possible with the fundraiser that Sylvia Ellen Krueger started and help from so many of you with donations to help raise funds for this trip! I would list you all but do not want to leave anyone out and again a huge thank you we are finally here, we made it to Mayo and have survived! So far things are going well and I am getting ready for another appointment in about an hour. I am here for a week with two or three appointments each day. Our first appointment took so long the two patients behind me got upset and left, well I coded in his office so he was not going to let me go and told the other clients to come back after lunch. I am in a hurry I will add a quote my husband wrote as an update. "We met with Dr.Teaford yesterday and Kara had a full blown anaphylactic reaction in front of him, and then she had a very long interview complete with the discussion of our Elos-Danlos concerns. He was blown away I’m sure, but he never let on. He took copious notes and had arranged to take blood samples from Kara in his office (first ever practice for him in his 18 years at Mayo). He then arranged to have Kara see every related department in the building this week, a packed schedule!" I hope they can find or at least confirm a diagnosis as even today so many of us know some doctors still do not believe the severity of our latex allergies. With Mayo backing me up it makes the path just a bit easier hopefully for all of us! I will keep up with updates, prayers welcomed, and more "thank you!" to those caring for our pets, home and all the support we are getting! Spirit has finally learned why not to smell the cacti! I wish Walt had taken a photo with her and a full set of cacti looking like curlers that were gently removed! Spirit misses home!
