THANKS for the birthday wishes! Wow, what a beautiful group you are. A network of 500 travelers scattered on every corner of the world. And you all have a thing in common -- you slept at my place! Yesterday I had a fine birthday, sitting in the garden at the old villa on the hill. You know the spot. Yes, I was hosting, of course. Guests from Russia, USA, Scotland, Serbia, Peru, Germany, Uruguay, and France were in the house, watching me turn 44. A birthday is the finest day of year to reflect; take count of your accomplishments and failures past year, and set goals for the coming months.
