Exciting news....... PRESS RELEASE from the Creative Industry Alliance The feature film business is coming to DeLand. Florida business man, Tampa Yankees owner and executive producer, Armando Gutierrez Jr. said, "I wanted to bring Hollywood to Florida and boost the economy from within my home state. DeLand is an excellent community, has vital resources and the people are just amazing to work with." Executive producer, Arthur L. Bernstein, Director of Business Development at Richard S. Bernstein, the insurance advisor to high net worth families, charitable organizations and business leaders like Donald Trump said, "Having grown up in Florida we want to keep the business in our state and grow with the community. In business everything is about relationships and building networks. Film production touches businesses of all kinds ranging from lumber to antiques to catering to real estate and so much more.” The film is seeking extras and bit players in DeLand, Florida for mid to late November film shoot. Principal photography will begin November 12th, 2013. The movie is called, "The Dreamer." Producers are interested receiving submissions from all available residents of the area. All ages, shapes and sizes needed. Executive Producer and Unit Production Coordinator, Jennava Laska from Los Angeles has set up temporary residence in DeLand. "We want to involve the community in every way. The talent and creativity is already here and we want to collaborate with the locals. You are all pivotal to our success. The town is picturesque, cinematic and we look forward to working here," she said. The film is a feature length biographical project set in the 1920’s. DeLand, Florida is the main shooting location. Producers are also looking to sources props, locations, wardrobe and automobiles from that era locally, so if you have anything from that period, please send pictures. Britney Dugan, the production coordinator from San Francisco will be working in tandem with Jennava said, "We have been overwhelmed with the reception so far and we appreciate everyone’s helpfulness. As we produce this film we would love to invite anyone with an interest in film to introduce themselves and contact us with anything they might have from the 1920s to 1930s." For acting talent, producers request a recent photograph or headshot. Resumes & reels are welcome but not required.
