(a repeated message) WE NEED TO KNOW OUR TRUE SELF TAKE TIME TO SILENCE AND REFLECT Even More Areas of Gifting in the Spirit of God God has given you and every other person the following : Capacity. . . ********* He has given you a capacity for learning , remembering, reasoning, and deciphering. He has given you an emotional capacity and spiritual depth. Capacity varies from person to person. Propensities... *********** A propensity is a tendency to display a particular behavior. For example ... some people are curious when faced with a new object or stimulus; others are fearful. Some people are quick to engage in conversation with other people, while others are more shy or introverted. Aspirations . . . ************ God has placed aspirations within each person. This gift is a desire for something more and something great. Everyone has a dream. Personality . . . ************ Your personality has many facets to it, including your sense of humor, your attitude, your outlook on life, the way you respond to your environment, and how you relate to other people. Free Will . . . *********** God has given to every person free will within the parameters of His overall purpose for mankind. A Measure of Faith . . . ****************** God blesses everyone with a measure of faith, which is an ability..TO BELIEVE IN HIM. A Conscience . . . ************* God has built within you --- the capacity to know what right from wrong. He has a way of nudging your science, even if you have not recieved godly instruction from your parents or anyone else during your early childhood. Communication ability . . . ******************* You are born with the ability to communicate. We learn and use languages that are both verbal and nonverbal. A Network of Relationship . . . *********************** At birth, God places you within a group of people. It starts as only your family members but will grow to include the numerous friends, associates, and acquaintances--- you will meet over your lifetime. When you begin to see the people in your life as gifts from God, you will be much more willing ... TO PRAY FOR THEM AND BE PATIENT with them. He also give you neighbors---people in your community and in your church. Along with Gods gift of people is His gifts of culture to you. You were born into a setting with people who have particular customs, languages, traditions, stories, and histories. IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER WHO GREW UP IN A CHRISTIAN HOME . . YOUR GIFT OF PEOPLE INCLUDES THE ENTIRE LINEAGE OF BIBLICAL ROLE MODELS BACK TO THE TIME OF ADAM AND EVE. A Generation and a Location . . . ************************* You also were born into a certain of time and space. The place where you are were born--the location, the region, the geography of the land, the overall natural environment---was Gods gift to you. That time and place also provided the advantage of various objects, situations, foods, styles, artifacts, music, and experiences that were, and perhaps still are, unique to that part of the world. You grew up in a specific house or dwelling in a preordained neighborhood and city. You were raise with specific sights, smells, and textures. For those of you who moved around a lot as a child, I encourage you to see that GOD has given you a wide range of places and environments to call HOME>. It is a gift that gas many benefits as well as challenges. The specific times you spent in each location are like pieces of a quilt that give your life texture and variety. Nobody else on earth, not even members of your generation who grew up where you were born and raised, has precisely your context of time and space. Your uniqueness is absolutely mind-boggling. God has fearfully and wonderfully fashioned you from the first moments of your life. And once you catch even a glimpse of that, the more you will sense and appreciate the way in which God has fearfully and wonderfully fashioned every other person you encounter. Contemplate what God has given you in each of these areas. This may be some of the most valuable moments you ever spend. Think about you have been made. Focus on the specific talents and abilities that God has given you. Make lists for yourself about yourself. Do not write down what you think you should have or desire to have as gifts---write down only those things that have been built into your life from birth. Do not lists that you think other people might want you to have. List what is. Construct a profile of your authentic, true self. ASK GOD REVEAL ANY HIDDEN Areas of talent or ability that you have not recognized in yourself. Sometimes the negativity of other people or the harshness of life;s circumstances can smother or hide our giftedness from us. ASK THE PeoPLE WHO LOVE YOU HOW THEY SEE YOUR life. After you have done all this, begin to explore ways that you can develop and use God has given. PRAYERS ARE PART OF YOUR LIFE BEING CHRISTIAN AND BELIEVING TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD MOST HIGH.
