THATTA: Pakistan has broken the world record previously held by India of planting the highest number of saplings in one day. Over 700,000 saplings were planted at Kharochan in the coastal area here on Saturday. The campaign for the planting of saplings was launched early Saturday morning with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank, Coastal Community Development and Forest Department. Some three hundred volunteers were engaged in trying to break the Indian record of 6,11,137 saplings.
