THE AMAZING GRACE THE FIRST WOMAN WHO RECEIVED THE MEDAL OF VALOR IN THE AFP. After her Graduation in the Academy. She bravely volunteered to be assigned in 15th PAF STRIKE WING and became a lady pilot of the Bronco’s and the MG-520 Defenders are the ones that provide the counter insurgency close air support missions to the Philippine military during combat attacks almost in all parts of campaigns against the NPA Rebels in Luzon and Visayas. She became famous in the whole AFP for her excellent and daring maneuvering skills in supporting our troops on the ground with her OV-10 Bronco. She earned the nickname THE AMAZING GRACE in the AFP mentioning that shes a devoted Christian and when she amazed our troops during the ALL OUT WAR in Mindanao with her rocket firing and gunning off the MILF rebels in combat. Shes one of the most decorated lady pilot of all time by receiving the Aviation Cross Medal for her bravery. Eight Gold cross, three Military Merit and two Distinguished Aviation Cross medals earned earlier in her colorful military career added to the sparkling ribbons already shining pinned in her chest - the most bemedalled female pilot in the Philippine Air Force. But on March 21, while on her way back from a combat mission with her 0V-10 Bronco when her jets engine failed and when the plane was about to crash land to the ground her Co-Pilot ejected and she was ordered by the control tower to eject too for her to be saved. Seconds later she noticed that the plane was about to crash in a populated subdivision below who has a number of 100 families of civilians life at stake. She did the unthinkable she decided to stay on the cockpit of her plane guiding it to a safe ground at about 10 meters away from the homes of the civilians as the plane blew up with her inside it. Instead of ejecting and saving her life with parachute on board she choose to die in order for the civilians to live. She was awarded the MEDAL OF VALOR the highest award in the AFP for bravery and sacrifice. She died so that others may lived... SALAMAT at PAALAM LT. Baloyo! FAREWELL AND REST IN PEACE.....
