“THE BLENDED EXTENDED FAMILY” - The sad reality is many relationships won’t make it to the finish line. However, there may be children involved. That’s where some understanding, flexibility, maturity and shifting of your mindset has to take place for the sake of the children. First of all don’t accept anyone new in your life that can’t show love to your children. Hopefully your EX will be just as firm using the same screening process. Be mature enough to accept that it’s over between you two and if the new person in their life has proven to care about your child, go ahead and accept them. Hopefully your EX will do the same when it comes to the new person in your life. Come together as a team, working together for the sake of your children.
