THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL News Casting Notes, Ratings, and Backstage gossip from behind the scenes at B&B Updated on 16-Mar-2014 The Bold and the Beautiful has always tried to make remote shoots special, whether close to home in the US or in some far off locale. And TV Guides Michael Logan reports that there is a bit of both coming up for fans of the soap. From March 17-19, B&B will film in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, with actors Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), Don Diamont (Bill) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) taking their characters to the United Arab Emirates as extension of their current story. When Bill takes Brooke to the Arab region, Ridge follows, determined to protect Brooke and keep longtime rival Bill from becoming stepfather to Ridge and Brookes son R.J. This marks the first time a daytime drama will tape in the United Arab Emirates. Excited about the opportunity to bring his story to the region, where B&B airs on the Dubai One network, B&B Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell credits Lang with the inspiration for the remote shoot. When the actress, who competes in triathlons, asked for time off for a triathlon in Abu Dhabi, Bell decided to pack up the station wagon and all pile in for the adventure. Although the episodes will be taped in March, they wont air until late May or early June. In another remote shoot, this one much closer to home. Scott Clifton (Liam) and Kim Matula (Hope) will join former PRICE IS RIGHT host Bob Barker and the host of the CBS series LUCKY DOG, Brandon McMillan, for a remote at the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter that focuses on animal rescue and adoption. Barker and McMillan have both appeared separately on B&B before, and their appearance with Scott and Kim will both promote important issues with animal welfare and also showcase the differences between Liam and Hopes relationship and Hopes relationship with Liams half-brother, Wyatt. Hope is presently in a romantic relationship with Wyatt, but will seeing Liams socially conscious side have an impact on her? Tune in from April 30 - May 2 to find out. PS.
