THE BOOK OF HEBREW: "Bible Study of The Day" 2:1-4 2 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? ~Our minds and memories are like a leaky vessel, they do not, without much care, retain what is poured into them. Sinning against the gospel is neglect of this great salvation. Even partial neglects will not escape rebukes. Let us mind this one thing needful, and attend to the Holy Scriptures, written by those who heard the words of our gracious Lord, and were inspired by his Spirit; then we shall be blessed with the good part that cannot be taken away. Some who hear the Gospel may be lost and perish; but the grace of the Gospel can never be lost. Let us take heed and walk there in to what we have heard and know. Paul was warning the Jews against neglect as so we are being warned. Let us repent daily and strive to be perfect through by the Holy Spirit. Feel free to ask questions. Have a wonderful weekend.
