THE BUZZ November 11, 2013 Next Meeting: Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 Meeting at 7:00 pm @ the Bee Hive Pot Luck @ 6:00 pm (Get to know one another) THE 2ND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH (Sept.-April) PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Winter is on it’s way!! Don’t forget to Log on to the snobees or stop at our participating dealers to get your TMA by Dec 15th to save money with an Early Bird TMA. Hopefully the few dustings we have already gotten are just a small taste of what’s to come this winter. There has been a lot of trail work going on and I’d like to thank all who have donated their time and ENCOURAGE any of you who would like to help out to step forward. SnoBees has received the VAST Trail Administrator Appreciation Award at the Annual VAST Meeting. Big shout out to the SnoBees for hosting the Groomer Rodeo last year. Since the turnout was so good last year, the SnoBees will be hosting the Groomer Rodeo again this year on Saturday February 8th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Bee Hive. This is a great chance to see these awesome machines up close and personal. Bring the Family up to check them out. Thanks to all who showed up for the meeting and to all of you who support the club. While it is very nice to have a great turn out at the meetings, keep in mind that it is possible to help the club out even if you can’t make meetings. There are many activities that take place throughout the year, even as simple as taking a walk on the trails to make sure they are passible and maybe take a pair of clippers and do some debrushing at the same time. Anyone looking to help out, please contact myself or any board member for ideas. Thanks again. There are a lot of you who don’t make meetings but contribute a great amount to the club and I want to let you know that we all appreciate it very much; you all know who you are. Great news!! Dawn Marie Tomasi has stepped up and has taken the Membership Chairperson position. This is a crucial position and everyone appreciates you taking on this duty. I hate to sound like a broken record, but sometimes people can’t participate like they would like to, possibly due to time constraints, not physically able, or other reasons. Maybe you could help by donating a few extra dollars to the club when you renew your TMA. There are a lot of bills associated with the club, and every little bit counts. For starters, we have purchased a new drag this year as our old drag is getting older and also one foot wider than the new one, which put a lot of stress on our machine. The SnoBees has to pay for half of the new drag. We also have other bills such as (but not limited too) heating/grooming fuel, rent, non-reimbursable trail projects, and major repairs to the Pisten Bully(Groomer). Just as a reminder to all of our Trail Trustees, please take some time to take a nice walk while the weather is nice and check out your trails for any washouts, blow downs and other issues and report back. Thanks again for everything you do. The $20 Raffle is under way again so be sure to get your tickets with a chance to win numerous times and also help out the club. I would like to thank our Landowners first and foremost. Also, thanks to our members, I hope to see you all and more this coming season.
