THE CURRENT SCHEDULE FOR THE UNITY RIDERS (as they know it at this point): AUGUST 2nd: 12pm-1pm Beacon Fire tower ceremony. Leaving Mount Beacon Park at Intersection Howland Avenue and 9D ( Wallcott Rd) to walk up the mountain Join the Unity Riders on the Mountain Top! Rivertown kids lead by U.S. Army Woman Personal join the walk yup the mountain. AUGUST 3rd: 8:30am The Riders go across the bridge "Walkway over Hudson" in Poughkeepsie as Two Row paddle under bridge. 2pm-8pm Beacon Native Festival The Unity Riders give address to public at Beacon Waterfront Park. Next to Metro North Train Station. Easy train ride from NYC!!! AUGUST 4th: 11am Woodstock, NY Unity Riders lead the Flag Procession of all Nations in Woodstock on the International Day For Peace. Procession leaving from intersection of Rt 375 & Rt 212 and ends at Comeau Property with Flag Ceremony offered by World Peace and Prayer Society. Special guest NY Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk 12-3pm Woodstock, NY Free Concert at Comeau property with: Irish Master Liam O’Maonlai, Dakota drummers, singer Jessie High Eagle, Jerama African Drummers, Tibetan singer and other special guests 3:30pm Lunch at Andy Lee Field 5pm Woodstock, NY Colony Cafe, Rock City Road, $20.00 at door Liam O’Maonlai of the Hothouse Flowers, Special guest Gayle Two Eagles, Paul McMahon & friends AUGUST 5th: 10am - 1pm Newtown, CT The Unity Riders arrive at the Connecticut Horse Brigade in Newtown. And leave for procession through Newtown. AUGUST 6th: 9-11am Danbury, CT The Unity Riders arrive at Tarrywile Park located at 70 Southern Blvd, Danbury, CT 06810. Meet the riders and their medicine horses. For directions and more information on the park and mansion go to: tarrywile 12pm Danbury, CT The Unity Riders proceed to the Pines for ceremonies and gathering to honor Albert Afraid of Hawk and the greater Danbury community for their work to return Albert safely to Pine Ridge, North Dakota. 5:30pm Danbury Museum, picnic with the riders AUGUST 7th: Open for Bookings Details to be announced AUGUST 8th: 10am-6pm Ramapo / Dakota Nation gathering in Mawah NJ AUGUST 9th: 10am NYC, Pier 96 ( 57th Street) Paddlers come on land and are welcome by dignitaries and community leaders, including Dutch Consul General, Rob de Vos. 11:30am March from Pier 96 to United Nations 1:30 pm Dag Hammerskjold Plaza, Welcome by UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues 3-6pm UN Event for International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (invited guest from Two Row) AUGUST 10th: Battery Park Details to be announced AUGUST 11th: 12pm - 5pm Beacon Corn Festival at: Beacon Sloop Club / Waterfront Free Admission and parking.
