THE DANGER OF RELIGION Guns and bombs might have killed millions,but religion had been the contribution factor for all the wars and the highest bloodshed of our world history. One of the greatest woes and epidemic man had ever lived under the sun is Religion,second to natural catastrophes.Is religion so deadly? Then the question is what is this Munster called religion?? I define RELIGION to be A belief system,a concept,ideas and ways of man to find answers to his identity,his purpose,and his destiny . Every human being on this planet today is having these questions to deal with daily. WHOM AM I?Why am I here?where am I going after here? Answers to these questions controls man,s choices, feelings ,emotions and his will power. Man have questions about his origin,therefore he is struggling to find answers about who is in control? Who is God? Is there a God at all ? Is there life after death? Where will I be if I die ?Answers to these questions are unfortunately coming from a deadly sources known as religion. In man quest of getting answers to a void in his life Religion which has been established on culture,traditions and fantasy has become role model of building our choices, characters,identities and personalities. Man was not created to find answers in life through religion,therefore in all generations religion has become the common grounds of man opposition to his creator .The deceitful of religion has cost many of their eternal rewards in heaven. The spirit behind all acts of sin is from satan john 8:34-44 Sin takes mans eyes from his maker to himself Genesis 3:5-8 All our human ignorance, rebellious towards God, self seeking was given birth by sin. Who is a religious person? This is a person who claim to know God, yet deny God of his love,affection in all areas of life.Religious person is more willing to die in the name of God, than living to testify about his belief systems.A religious person is willing to kill in the name of God than to save lives.All religions were built on hatred more than love. Religion opposes God and do things in his ways, yet expecting God to accept him in his own ways. God desires mercy not sacrifices, religion is more of what we can do to please God, not how to accept what JESUS has done.Jesus was the only man who at first had problems with the religious leaders of His days.He condemned all their activities in Mk 11: 23 ff.Let us repent and turn to our maker for a relationship not a distance fellowship known as religion.
