THE DIARY OF PINK PEARL: KISS KISS, AMERICA! No Fowl Language!! Copyrights by Jes Fuhrmann, 2013 All rights reserved “I won’t read your book!” the under-educated woman turns away with disgust. “But, I…” she attempts as the woman frowns with contempt. “I don’t like your language!” she argues, stomps off as the young boy snickers at her reaction. “It’s not like I said the “f” word or anything.” I sigh as the freckled faced young man beams up at us. “Doesn’t bother me!” he laughs as she shuffles off with disgust. “Can I have one of those?” he asks as Honey quickly caters to his request. “So is it difficult to write a book?” he continues, tilting his head as I reflect on an intellectual response. “It helps if you can type for starters!” I snicker as Tara takes Joshua out to join in on the fun. “Help yourself to the snacks we brought, Tara!” Honey offers, reaching into the bag for some carrot slices for me. “How do you do it?” he begs as I nibble on the fresh vegetable while Prince Joshua enjoys some fresh apple bites. “Well, every day after we would run errands together or as we worked around the house together, Honey would make little notes about what day it was, what the weather was like, who we met and what we did.” I smile, taking another bite as he looks diligently up at me. “Sounds interesting!” he smiles, “You mean like writing a journal?” he asks as she hands me another slice. “Exactly.” I wink, crunching away on my snack as he hangs on every word. “It’s getting a bit warm in here so I’m just going to shed this top coat.” Honey exhales, removing her professional jacket to reveal her strong, bare arms and the masses of pearls adorning her chest. “So, that’s it?” he gasps, glancing inquisitively down at the photo. “That’s how you write a book?” he smiles, raising his eyebrows with delight as Monsenior nervously nods his head down, biting upon the beautiful, diamond ring on Honey’s center finger. “No, don’t Monsenior!” she lectures as I casually glance over at the youngster. “So much for that chip!” I tease, recalling the replacements leftover from her remade tennis bracelet from Stuey. “Oh good…” she breathes, admiring the lustrous ring. “No diamonds digested.” she grins as I return to my lesson on how to become a novelist one oh one. “Not by a long shot!” I wink, reflecting on the hours, days, weeks and months that we spent together filling in all the details of our short time together. “You see, after Honey types out the outline that I dictate to her each day, we both review it together so we can build out the structure.” I wink looking over as Daddy grows restless beside us. “You okay, my love?” Honey frowns as he grips nervously to his wounded hand. “It’s still oozing a bit from her bite and it really hurts!” he adds as I nervously look down. “We’ll leave just as Pearl’s done with her little lesson, okay?” she reassures, setting Monsenior upon the glass confinement of the small, South American baby parrots. “You need to trim his nails, Tara!” she advises as Tara glances coyly up at her. “I know.” She grins, “But I’m afraid.” She squeaks, “Just look at the claw marks on my arm!” she gestures, holding it up as I examine the red dots covering the tiny princess’s soft, white skin. “I’m going to get you!” Little Joshua snickers, initiating a game of cat and mouse with her. “OUCH!” she shrieks as he proudly smiles. “Don’t do that, Joshua!” Honey warns, reaching into the water dish before splashing it on his face as he realizes who he’s up against. “Hahaha!” I laugh, enjoying the myriad of distractions as the young man scratches his head. “So then what?” he asks, returning to his original question. “I’m sorry, what?” I giggle, gazing loving as Daddy picks up Monsenior as the loving bond immediately initiates.
