THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INJURY AND SORENESS: Training and day to - TopicsExpress

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INJURY AND SORENESS: Training and day to day activities out a strain on your body and its normal to have soreness after a heavy session. If you feel sore in the centre of the muscles and on both sides of the body then this is soreness. If its pain localised in one or two areas, or towards joints and ligaments, or on one side of the body, beware - thats an injury. If it gets worse after or during what youre doing - stop and get it seen to! The worst thing you can do is to continue to train on an injury or leave it until it is really painful or stops you doing your activity. The most common mistakes I see is people coming in with an old injury just before and event - the best case in this is that they get patched up to just complete something rather than being totally healed to compete
