*THE DOWNFALL OF OKPOTO* EPISODE SEVEN [7] AFTER Lateefahs grand father passed away, Ogar started visiting the house more often. I did everything within my power to prohibit him but he was just so stubborn. Meanwhile, Lateefah and I were the only one in the house. We were quite good friends. And days passed. And weeks...and months. And food started getting finished from the house. Lateefah showed me the large plots of land her parents left behind for her. We worked on it. I put in so much effort and during the harvest, we had so much to eat and to sale. And gradually, I grew into a man and Lateefah, into a woman. An elegant young woman; One that any man would want to spend the rest of his life with. One day, while we were working on the farm, she said something that spoilt my mind. She talked about her plan to elope with Ogar in a few months to come. I didnt utter a word. She talked for a while and when she noticed the countenance on my face had changed, she kept quite. In my silence, I swore in my heart that she would never end up with Ogar. Except if my name is not Okpoto. I had a plan. That very night, at about 01:00am, when everyone were deeply asleep, I knocked gently on Lateefahs door. She opened the door and immediately I entered, I hugged her...and kissed her. She didnt react at first. I tried to do it again and she pushed me away. But I was already consumed in passion. And I forced myself on her. And I slept with her. I actually over powered her and all she could do was scream. Her screams awakened the neighbours and they all came banging on the door. I jumped through the window and dashed into the bush.
