THE FACE OF EVIL There are dark souls in the world whose purpose is to cause chaos and destroy. Yes there is evil in this world, but it comes not in the form of the devil but from the hearts of men. The weak are swallowed up into the mouth of madness, only to be spit out to do evils bidding. With clenched fist they strike the pure souls and beat them down and leave them bleeding on the floor. Yes there is evil in the world and it walks among us on two legs. You would not know them upon site for the hide it well. The ugliness hides inside, veiled by a brilliant smile and charm. With easy strides they walk, always looking, always watching and always waiting. They are the controllers and the manipulators and speak with the voice of angles but use the devils tongue. Lies are part of the seduction. Their only goal is to possess and control and to force their will upon the meek and mild, those who are pure in heart and soul. Yes evil exist in the world but no demon or witch was ever so great as the evil of man. Yes there is evil. We see it and turn a blind eye. We pretend it doesn’t happen close to home. We make it all too easy for it to exist and grow. We always hiding behind the words, “it’s none of my business” Yes evil exist, while children hide in closets and hold their breath while praying for deliverance. Evil breeds like a parasite, infecting and destroying till it kills. Evil grows stronger with every tear, every bruise and every word dripping with disdain. Yes Evil does exist, in all communities, black and white, gay or straight, rich and poor. Evil does not discriminate. Yes evil is here and it hides in plain sight. Evil destroys children, families, men and women alike. Evil will persist unless we all stand to fight for what’s good and what is right. Yes evil exist and it thrives and blossoms every day and every night. It survives by our fear to speak and our silent shame. Yes evil exists when for our inaction we make an excuse.
