THE FIRST THING THAT MAKES FAITH TO FAIL IS DOUBT Mark 11 vs. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. ... Doubt cripples faith and the reason why people doubt is because they don’t even know that doubt is the same thing as unbelief. Whenever you sense doubt do like Mary did by saying, ‘Let it be according to your word’ Luke 1 vs. 38. Whenever you sense doubt say what peter said to Jesus when his fishing adventure was unfruitful through out the night, he said ‘nevertheless at thy word’ Luke 5 vs. 5. The next time doubt starts playing in your mind say this aloud, ‘NEVERTHELESS LET IT BE ACCORDING TO GODS WORD IN JESUS NAME’ then doubt will depart instantly. THE SECOND THING THAT CAN MAKE FAITH TO FAIL IS CONSIDERING ALTERNATIVES No matter how strong your faith may be if you consider alternatives to Gods word it will still be crippled. When the king promised to throw Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to the fire unless they bow to his graven image in Daniel chapter 3. These 3 guys refused alternatives, they could have bowed and ask God for forgiveness later like most people do today. But they didn’t, rather they were prepared to burn other than to bow. They refused alternatives of pretending to bow while their heart is not bowing just to deceive the king. Most of the times we claim we believe God but still try to help ourselves so as to help God. At the end God showed up inside the fire they were thrown into because they refused alternatives to their faith. Daniel was thrown into the lions den; he was ready to die believing God than to consider any alternative escape route/action and God showed up giving him his testimony. Daniel chapter 6. Until you deal with doubts and alternatives your faith may not produce result. God’s word never fails. Align yourself appropriately and it will come to pass. That desire of your heart shall come to pass in Jesus
