THE FORGOTTEN BOOK... A young boy notice d a large black b ook all covered with dust lying on a h igh shelf. His curiosity was aroused s o he asked his mother about it. Emb arassed, she hastily explained, That s a Bible. Its Gods Book. The boy th ought for a moment and then said, Well, if thats God s Book, why dont we give it back to Him? Nobody arou nd here uses it anyway! In many homes, the Bible is hardly u sed or thought about. The only time anyone picks it is when theres troub le, sickness, or a death in the family. And even then, pages are randomly flipped through because one may n ot know where to look for the help th ats needed. How long has it been si nce you picked up your Bible for you r own enjoyment, eddification and s piritual growth? Yes, It is Gods Book, but He doesnt want it back! He want s you to keep it, to ponder it, to unde rstand it, to believe it & to obey it! Th more you read the Bible, the more y oull love its Author!
