Greatlygrieved and with a trembling voice tone, the merchant said, Iwish I had takencare of you while I could have !Actually, each of the four wives represent a part of our life1. The fourth wife is our body. No matter how much time andeffort we lavish in making it look good, itll leave us when we die.2. The third wife. Which represents Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all wont go with us. In fact, others take them.3. The second wife represents our family and friends. No matter how close they had been with us when were alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.4. The first wife is in fact our soul, which often neglected in ourpursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure. You know what? It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Perhaps its a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now rather than towait until were on our deathbed to lament.
