THE Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will meet today on the ongoing strike embarked upon by university lecturers over the non- implementation of the 2009 FG/ASUU agreement .While in Lagos state Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, presented cheques worth N256 million to 128 public secondary schools in the state, as reward for academic excellence... As overjoyed as we are, that our government is now indeed investing funds into our educational system. we are wondering if we are not doing our nation and citizens a disservice, by not seeking to also rectify the ongoing situation with ASUU. After all what sense does it make to have an exemplary primary education, when our universities are hardly ever in session? what do you think about out our educational system this year 2013 is there an improvement or not?.
