THE IMMUTABILITY OF GOD: Yesterday the word immutable stuck out - TopicsExpress

THE IMMUTABILITY OF GOD: Yesterday the word immutable stuck out like a sore thumb and just literally drew my attention as I was reminded that GOD and HIS WORD are both immutable. I pondered, of course, and questioned the meaning. I looked at the word and in it saw three striking things while observing. This word, immutable was comprised of the word mute, the prefix, im and the suffix, able. I saw this word in another perspective! With these three combinations of words, I saw it actually say to me that GOD had the ability to speak, to not be mute (or speechless)- not that it was totally Greek or foreign to any of us who care about what GOD says and take time to study HIS WORD. Most of us already know that but sometimes we do have to be reminded! Although at times we may not hear HIS VOICE directly or loudly, but HE is speaking...through circumstances, through situations, through people, through our environment, through the scenery, through all things all of the time. Its the speaking that counts that we must lend our ears to be in a position to hear what HE is saying to us. HE is not mute. All HE has to do is say so! All HE has to do is let HIS WORD go forth! All HE has to do is speak and things happen! Why cant we be more like GOD? Why cant we just speak, not our own words, but HIS WORDS so that things can happen? Why cant we just lend an ear and when HE speaks to us, why cant we speak back to HIM, assuring HIM, Speak LORD, for thy servant listens?
