Why Ajimobi deserves a second term I want to suggest to candidates of opposition political parties not to bother coming out to contest for the governorship position in 2015, because for the first time in history, Oyo State is having a performing governor and the state is developing at a faster rate than ever thought. With the level of development taking place in Oyo State, one wonders what the opposition parties will use to campaign in the forthcoming election in 2015. At the moment, the governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has performed beyond expectations. Somebody visiting the state for the first time, or someone who is visiting after being away for a long time will marvel at the level of development recorded in the state in the last two years. Politics should be a scorecard. If an elected official performs well, then the person should be supported and elected for a new term in office, but if an official performs poorly, then he should be shown the way out so that he can concentrate on governing his household. In the case of Oyo State, the governor has really performed creditably well, and I am saying he deserves the support of the people so that he can be elected into office for a second-term. Before now, majority of developmental programmes were sited in Ibadan, the state capital, but today, all parts of the state are witnessing even developmental projects, and this is good news for all Oyo people, especially those who reside outside the capital.
