Many of you may remember and miss the great Ricky Hicks from The Parkside section of Camden NJ. Percussionist extraordinaire for groups like The Temptations, the Ojays, Earth Wind and Fire, The Ebonies and The Executive Suite. And my long time friend. I had the pleasure of helping his sweet mother, Mrs Christine Hicks-Brewer the other day. She hosted our rehearsals for many groups down in her basement when we were teens playing music. The other day I drylocked and water sealed that same basement and spent the day reminiscing about the Apollo Supper Club , the Dew Drop Inn and Lorettas Hi Hat where we played our hit songs and she was a mother to us all...If you know her,,, please say hello ...Ill pass it on.
