THE INSPIRING TRUE STORY OF A SOLDIER AND HIS DOG IN ZAMBOANGA DURING THE WAR. During the starting days of battle in Zamboanga. Among those who were sent are the Scout Rangers and their night terrain K9 Dog named Mary. The Rangers crawled and located almost all of the Enemies position and pin pointed the Enemies Sniper the whole night in the front lines. As the first glimpse of sunlight the Rangers slowly crawled back to the safe zone for them to regroup and to avoid the Sniper Fires of the MNLF Rebels. As the Rangers got back to the Safe Zone. One young Ranger with His K9 Dog caught the attention of a lady bystander who was there watching them. She noticed the Ranger and His Dog drinks clean water together in the same cup as the Ranger puts on some additional ammo and grenades to His Backpack the Ranger pulled out His pocket sized Bible from His chest pocket and after cleaning it He puts it back to a clean new cellophane and sealed it up before putting it back to His pocket. The Lady was touched and moved of the scene so she approach the local CAFGU who were assisting the newly deployed Ranger and gave some money and to buy food for the tired and sleepy Ranger and for His Dog. Then she told the Ranger that: SIR ANTAYIN NYO NALANG YUNG PINABILI KONG PAGKAIN SAYO. The Ranger smiled and pointed to His candies in His hands and replied: SALAMAT MAAM PERO CANDY NALANG MUNA MAAM PANTAWID GUTOM KASI KAILANGANG MAKABALIK KAMI AGAD SA FRONTLINES. The lady was saddened and asked the Ranger again to stay: PERO SIR KAHIT BA KAMI NA MISMONG TAGA DITO SA ZAMBOANGA ANG MAGSABING MAGPAHINGA MUNA KAYO? The Ranger answered back in his soft whispering voice: KAILANGAN MAAM KASI MAY MGA CIVILIAN PA AT MGA RANGER NA WOUNDED DOON NA NAG AANTAY SAMIN. ALIS NAPO AKO MAAM INGAT PO KAYO Then the Ranger and His Dog went back to the front lines with empty stomach. Later that day a Radio Transmission was received by the Team of Rangers from the Base Camp that they were ordered to be pulled back temporarily out of the assault and out of the front lines. The Team Leader of the Rangers was surprised and called back: SIR BAKIT KAMI IPAPA-PULL OUT TEMPORARILY? MAY MALI BA SA ATAKE NAMIN? To the Rangers surprise the voice of the Colonel replied in the Radio that: KAILANGAN EH. KASI ORDER NI MAYOR CLIMACO NA PAPAHINGAHIN DAW MUNA YUNG TEAM NG SCOUT RANGER NA NAKITA NYA KANINA KASAMA ANG ASO NA MAY DALANG BIBLE AT CANDY LANG ANG REQUEST MULA SA MAGDAMAG NA LABAN SA FRONT LINES AT HINDI NAGPAPIGIL KAHIT MAYOR PA NG ZAMBOANGA ANG KAUSAP NYA. That young Ranger did not recognized and knew that the lady that He was talking was Mayor. Climaco of Zamboanga City when He was called..... ( The Mayor, the Dog Mary and the Ranger never meet again after the war. ) GODBLESS US ALL.......
