THE INTERNET AND INDEPENDENT MEDIA EXCELS IN ERODING BELIEFS. The mainstream media has difficulty in peddling rhetoric because the Internet excels in eroding beliefs. The propaganda of democracy in Syria was to change regime, and Washington and the corporate media failed. On June 3rd, the Syrian people went to the polls to choose a president. Voter turnout was very high regardless of interference from the U.S. backed rebels. Basher al-Assad won by a landslide, taking 88.7% of the vote, international observers reported no violations. The only elections that counts are the ones that put cooperative, western puppets in power. The Syrian people have made it clear that they arent interested in becoming a vassal state like Afghanistan or Iraq. The Internet and independent media wrangle credibility and bleach out the dirt to find the truth, a reality opposed to corporate media and Washington.
