THE ITALIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, MRS. EMMA BONINO, FIRMLY CONDEMNS THE ATTACKS TO THE PESHAWAR CHURCH LAST SUNDAY. “I was dismayed to learn of yet another attack against the Christian minority in Pakistan, a country where, sadly, massacres for religious reasons have occurred on several occasions in recent years”. This was Foreign Minister Emma Bonino’s comment from New York on hearing of the attack on Christians in Peshawar. Minister Bonino is in New York for the General Assembly of the United Nations. “Italy has always been in the front line to protect religious minorities.
