THE JUDGES CHAMBERS HIGH SCHOOL EDITION: Updated 6:30 PM DISTRICT 2 CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS: In the Girls A Race, Tess Kearns of Holy Cross keys a 1-2-3 Finish for Holy Cross with a winning time of 19:38, more than :30 before the 2nd Place Finisher. Holy Cross took the team title, 2nd Place was Elk Lake with 3rd going to Montrose. Holy Cross & Elk Lake Teams advance to the state meet. Holy Cross Team: Tess Kearns, Zoe Haggerty, Mackenzie Greenfield, Abby Guziewicz, Abby Corrigan, Grace Cosgrove, Megan Healy Elk Lake Team: Katie Bennett, Lexus Hemenway, Justine Johns, Liz Trowbridge, Julie Vanetten, Kenzie Jones Individual State Qualifiers in Girls A: Allison Lewis, Samantha Bennici, Angela Russell, Paige Dolaway, Emma Washo (Montrose) Cassie Seymon (Riverside) Brooke Estadt (Lakeland) Ivy Christensen (Susquehanna) Nicole Kobylanski (Mid Valley) Katie Seigle (Lackawanna Trail) Regan Rome of Dallas was the winner in the Girls AA Race with a winning time of 19:05. Dallas Team was also a 1-2-3 Finish and ran away with the team title. North Pocono was 2nd and also advances to states. North Pocono Team: Kaitlyn Lewis, Joanna Bernatowicz, Barbara Jane Wicker, Lia Correa, Abby Haines, Hannah Whitney, Kaleigh Orr Individual State Qualifiers in Girls AA: Haley West (Honesdale) Emly Carr, Erin Feeney, Clare Schoen, & Kate Reilly (Scranton Prep) Tessa Barrett of Abington Heights continues her dominating season by winning the Girls AAA Race, winning time of 17:49, more than 2 minutes ahead of the 2nd Place Runner. Abington was the team champion and the only advancing team to the state meet in AAA. Abington Heights Team: Tessa Barrett, Claire Traweek, Erin Jaeger, Jen Burke, Alexandra Scheuermann, Sarah Walsh, Carly Danoski Individual State Qualifiers in Girls AAA: Alyssa Lafave & Deirdre Schmidt (Wallenpaupack) In the Boys A Race, Lakelands Nathan Morgan wins in 16:55 while teammate Mark Arzie finished second in 17:27 leading the Chiefs to a runaway team championship. Elk Lake finished 2nd to advance to states. Scranton Preps Kyle Perry the 1st Lackawanna League runner the cross the finish line, finishing 4th. Dallas (1st) & Scranton Prep (2nd) advance to the state meet. Scranton Prep Team: Kyle Perry, Ryan Burke, Ben Evans, Ben Sullivan, Pat Feeney, Owen Brier, Anthony Nardone Individual State Qualifiers in Boys AA: Jason Heid (Valley View) The Boys AAA Meet was won by North Poconos Matt Kravitz with a winning time of 16:56. Wallenpaupack won the team title and advances to the state meet as only the champion advances in AAA. Wallenpaupack Team: Pat Johnson, Brian Rose, Sean Duncan, Anthony Guerrieri, Matt Sein, Robert Segalla, Jacob Wacker Individual State Qualifiers in Boys AAA: Matt Kravitz (North Pocono) Jacob Ross & Kyle Ouellette (Abington Heights) The State Meet will be held November 2 at Hershey Golf Course.
