THE LATE MICHAEL KEANE Sadness descended on Touraneena & the surrounding Ballinamult area last month with the sad passing of Michael Keane. Following his retirement from the council, Michael spent his time walking his dog and was regularly seen on the Mullinahurka road in Ballinagulkee. Michael was a great family man; married to Eileen since 1971 and father to Thomas, Pat, Robbie and Mush who is currently our club’s public relations officer. Michael looked on proudly as Pat, Robbie and Mush all lined out for the successful Finisk Fighters during last year’s Jamboree weekend Barlo cup final. An avid follower of the GAA, Michael didn’t have to go far for all the up-to-date news with his son, Thomas one of the best young GAA journalists in country. Micheal months mind mass was celebrated by Fr. Kelleher in Touraneena on Friday last. The Sliabh gCua/St. Mary’s extend their deepest sympathy to Michael’s family & friends.
