THE LOGIC OF EFFICIENCY. When we place the efficient management of the earths resources as top priority, as we should, all kinds of incredible things happen. For instance, having most of the population drive all the way across town to go to work, using buses, cars or trains everyday, is inefficient and completely unsustainable. We simply cannot keep wasting energy in this way. So, most of us have to stop going to work. Saving the planet is going to give you the opportunity to truly live the miracle of life, rather than the life of a wage slave. Machines already exist that can perform most of the work we currently do. This inefficient monetarist system requires you to be employed, there is no other reason. You currently work to buy the things you need. Money is inefficient. There will be no money in the next logical future. All of your needs will be met. Outside of monetarism, food and shelter do not cost money, they use resources. The earths resources belong to us all. Use and distribution of resources will be accomplished by the implementation of a system of resource management, designed by system analysts, not politicians. Politics under monetarism is tainted by the perceived need to gain advantage. As you have noticed, it does not work, and the need to gain advantage is not actual. When our priorities are changed to the efficient management of our finite resources, greed fear and suspicion of our fellow human being simply have no place. So, no more war. Where we are now is not the end of our story, this is just a way point in our development. Our apparent human flaws, greed etc, are the result of our current systems. These systems came into being in the dark ages of our prehistory. We lived in a fearful environment we could not understand or control. Not so today, but those systems, designed from fear are still in place today. Systems designed by fear can only produce one thing: more fear. Humans are not preconditioned to be greedy or warlike, these aberrations are the result of our system/environment. Change the environment and you change the person. This is science. If we are to survive, there is only one logical choice. Interestingly, placing the proper management of our finite resources as our top priority will, almost accidentally, create a paradise here on earth. These are not hippie dreams, these are the thoughts of some of todays leading thinkers. Systems that provide for our needs, maximizing resource availability while minimizing waste, already exist! It is time to take that next step in our evolution and implement them. You might find yourself reaching for reasons to doubt the validity of this post. That is absolutely understandable. Just the idea of getting rid of money is a very step step for many people. Just know that the old thinking that got us into this mess cannot get us out of it. We have been steeped in old thinking for our whole lives. We must all be ready to rethink many of the things we have been taught to hold as truths. It is not easy but our future really is at stake.
