THE LORD CHOSE YOU! 1 Samuel 16:1-13 KJV [1] And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. [2] And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it , he will kill me. And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord . [3] And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee. [4] And Samuel did that which the Lord spake, and came to Beth-lehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably? [5] And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord : sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice. [6] And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lords anointed is before him. [7] But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. [8] Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. [9] Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. [10] Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these. [11] And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. [12] And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. [13] Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. Sometimes we question ourselves and try to figure out why the LORD chose you.We look at our appearance,our characters,what were involved in and our meager beginnings. BUT it was GOD that chose you. We struggle, ridiculed, tease,spoken evil of,have challenges,are rejected,passed over because of talent levels,harassed,curseout,rebuked ,cast down beaten,bruised physically, emotionally and even spiritually! Had doors closed in our face ,sat down,called everything but a child of GOD and called in time to sit down to eat,excluded.But I tell you dont you give up and dont you give in and dont you Quit! God has put something special in you and he has given you certain task, jobs and people in your circle to minister to. You as a child of keep it moving and do what God is telling you to do. Where are to go ,what you need to take up,who you are to minister too,what you need to do and what you need to say.You have been put here for a purpose!Fulfill that purpose no matter who says what to you! You have a road to walk no one else Can walk.Stay on that road,no time for getting ,veering off it or quitting.GOD can: keep you in that storm,through the trials,bombardments,ridicule, the cursing,exclusions,struggles,even your weakness,self pity,low self esteem,out of the depression,oppression and possession, from bad habits. HE CAN KEEP YOU,LET HIM! STOP TRYING TO DO IT ON YOUR OWN ,MR AND MISSES PRIDEFUL, I GOT THIS,IM STRONG ON MY OWN. Get (OUT OF THE WAY)! Let GOD-show you nurture you show you the way, build you up and strengthen you when youre weak,enhance you,add to your talents! Youre worth something ,youre precious, the apple of Gods eye! Youre talented, funny,witty,nice, loving and friendly. Love yourself and let God love on you.Bring people in your circle and love the fact that God :put them there,brought them to you and put them there to help you.Before you bash them ,teach them, comfort them,show them,and do all things toward them in love,Forgive them,embrace them,build them up.Make disciples! Theyre arent ready made and up to speed with you,know the difference. Even turn back and apologize if it will make things better.SHOW YOURSELF FRIENDLY! I CHALLENGE YOU BE THAT CHRISTIAN THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE! Mature in love,Joy Peace,Patience and Mercy.Grow in Grace and be blessed.I Love you all!
