THE LOVE OF MONEY. SEED OF DESTINY. 04.08.2014. SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you own money, it is a blessing; but when money owns you, it is a disaster. If you want God to make you like He made Abraham and Joseph, you must be free from the love of money. When you own money, it is a blessing; but when money owns you, it is a disaster. There are people that are masters of money, and there are people that are slaves of money. A slave is anybody who does the will of his master. So, when a person is a slave of money, he would tell lies, steal, kill, defraud, forge signatures and do anything doable to get money because money is his master. That is why many people in the Church have not been made by God. The love of money is the root of armed robbery, prostitution, drug pushing, hired assassination, etc. Some people in the occult have sacrificed their parents because of the love of money. You must come to the point where money holds no grip on your heart. Papa Oyedepo said, ‘Money in your hand is a good thing but money in your heart equals destruction.’ Joseph had no love for money because he would interpret the dreams of people free of charge; he was more interested in people than in money. There are some people that, until there are piles of one thousand naira notes by their bedside, they can’t sleep. That is bondage or addiction to money. When you come to the point where money cannot control you, then you will be in control of plenty of money. When you come to the point where money can’t stand between you and God, then God will give you plenty of it. Remember this: when you own money, it is a blessing; but when money owns you, it is a disaster.
