THE LUKEWARM CHURCH - PART 22 (vii) LUKEWARM ABOUT SINGING In The Lukewarm Church, Singing Is Not Spirit-Filled. Ephesians 5vs18-19: And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Most of the so called gospel singers and choristers in the churches of today are lukewarm. Hardly will you hear the anointed songs in the church services, in concert, from tapes, or CDs. Some gospel songs were sung in a worldly way: they would use the style, method or rhythm they used in singing the secular music to sing spiritual songs and thus would not cause the power of God or anointing to flow in the church gatherings or services. Another reason is that some might sing good spiritual songs, hymns, but they would still lack the anointing because they are coming from the mouths of the impure vessels (singers) who are strange fire on the altar. The vast majority of these singers lead unrighteous, impure, unholy lives. Though they may appear clean on the outside and to the public, but their private lives are in mess. They are great pretenders. Likewise, the vast majority of the ministers of God and the members of the congregation of today are pretenders too. They are solely responsible for the lukewarmness we have in the churches of today. There are so many lost ministers and lost congregants in the church of God, today, who are hypocrites that lead lives of public purity and private shame. They appear holy outward and to the public, whereas they lead shameful, sinful private lives. Also Many will just appear holy in the church; but, when they are in their workplaces, business places, homes or schools they turn or switch to ungodly, worldly characters. They are known as environmental Christians or Chameleon who are influenced by their environments. These ungodly characters are affecting the body of Christ (The Church), causing lukewarmness, instability, division, disunity, hatred, envy, rebellion, disrespect in the churches. They are affecting the church services by preventing the move of God, the touch of God, and the power of God upon the people. All the lost ministers and the lost congregants must repent and re-dedicate their lives to God. Praise and worship songs are powerful tools to provoke Gods presence, intervention and blessing in our lives when we are not lukewarm or we dont have any unconfessed sin or secret sin in our lives. Singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs would provoke or bring down the glory, the beauty, the magnificence, the splendor, the majesty, the powerful presence of the Almighty God into our situation; because our God dwells in the praises of His holy people. .....TO BE CONTINUED.
