THE MAKER’S MAP [By FBI- First Baba Isa] Monday, 8th September, 2014 NOBODY SINNED “As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Neither this man nor his parents sinned, said Jesus, but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.” John 9:1-3 NIV A lot of people have built ministries trying to show what and who is responsible for your trials and misfortunes. As long as they are concerned you can’t just go through tough times for nothing. Someone somewhere just have to be responsible. Like the disciples of Jesus they are going about asking “Who sinned that this man was born blind?” but unlike the apostles, they will never accept that no one sinned…your situation is just for God to show his glory. For them, somebody must be responsible. Its either your father sinned or your mother incurred a curse or your village buried a Whiteman in 1875. These prophets always have an explanation ready for you in your tough times. Infact being a firstborn is also a crime. They organize several deliverances for you. They bind, they cast, they scream at the devil in you. Somebody is surely responsible. All they tell you about is generational curses; don’t we have generational blessings? The funny thing is that these Men of God explain their own trials and difficulties as God preparing them for the ministry but yours is the devil’s handiwork. If his child dies, God is using that tough time to prepare him for the ministry, to become an overseer. But if yours dies, it is from your village and a deliverance session will be organized for you. The truth is I think most of us enjoy this, that’s why we believe these prophets when they tell us someone sinned for us to go through tough times. Putting the blame on someone or something relieves us of the task of taking responsibilities for our lives and the results we achieve. Stop being fooled. Nobody sinned. Not even you! Your tough time will pass. Your situation is for God to take glory. He will step in soon and take all the glory. LET’S PRAY: O God turn my trials into triumphs, my test into testimony and my mourning into laughter. Don’t let men exploit my hard times. SUCCESS ACTIVITY: Don’t let people take advantage of your tough times. Don’t let people make financial profits from your woes. Get a mentor that can encourage you. Stop running helter-skelter looking for God, he is not lost. CONFESSION: Tough times don’t last, tough people like me do!.
