THE MEANING AND THE DESCRIPTION OF HELL FIRE - PART 2 THE MEANING OF HELL Hell is defined as follows: (1) ..... place of punishment after death: according to many religions, the place where the souls of people who are damned suffer eternal punishment after death. (2) ..... hell is the place where the devil lives, and where wicked people are sent to be punished when they die. Hell is usually imagined or seeing through visions as being under the ground and full of flames. (3) ..... devilish power: according to some religions, satan or the powers of evil that live in hell. (4) Underworld: according to some religions, the place where the spirits of all people go after death. (5) Suffering or its cause: a state or place of extreme pain or misery, or something or somebody that causes extreme pain or misery. Although these are a secular dictionarys definitions, they are not far from what the Holy Bible calls hell. The words commonly translated hell in the Holy Bible are four: the Hebrew word SHEOL, and the three Greek words TARTARUS, HADES and GEHENNA. Matthew 7vs13-14: Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to DESTRUCTION, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Proverbs 15vs24: The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from HELL below. Matthew 3vs12: His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will BURN UP THE CHAFF WITH UNQUENCHABLE FIRE. Matthew 5vs29-30: If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into HELL. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into HELL. Proverbs 5vs5: Her feet go down to death, her steps lay hold of HELL. HELL IS SO AWFUL, TERRIBLE! IF YOU WANT TO ESCAPE THE TORMENTS OF HELL; YOU MUST CONFESS, REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND BE CONVERTED: BY ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND PERSONAL SAVIOR NOW! IF YOU HAVE BACKSLID; ENSURE THAT YOU RE-DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO GOD NOW! BECAUSE THE NEXT MOMENT MAY BE TOO LATE FOR YOU! .....TO BE CONTINUED.
