THE MISGUIDED APC ASPIRANT IN KWARA STATE. BOLAJI ABDULLAHI; THE MOST USELESS POLITICIAN IN THE WORLD By Imam Bashir Pakata The depravity of the Omoale called Omoluabi, Bolaji Abdulganeey Abdullahi is too blatant that even the world best political-marketer cannot successfully market him for even the people of his political ward, let alone Kwara State. This, my factual narration was fuelled by the later self-sponsored accolades on him through his hungry social media advocates who operate pseudos and mushroom foot soldiers recently gathered by him in his aspiration to run for elective office through his good-for-nothing sister, Riskat Abdullahi. Bolaji Abdullahi, who is the immediate past Nigeria Minister of Sport is generally regarded by the people his ward (Ubandawaki Ward of Ilorin West Local Government) and Kwarans, as the most useless and fruitless politician in the whole world. I, as a young boy who hail from the same ward with him and a just graduated student of Kwara State University Malete have this verifiable exposition on this bootless man. It is intimidating; Bolaji Abdullahi who grew up as a poor boy but rose up to such altitude in life has not elevated anybody in our ward and Kwara State at large. He rather oppressed people and spread poverty across, all under the disguise of his being a self-acclaimed TECHNOCRAT. Sincerely speaking, an intimacy with him will definitely reveal his shallow-mindedness. What qualifies the parochial man as a technocrat that has not qualified hundreds of young graduates with his synonymous Second Class Upper and even First Class Division from our ward? If technocrats are to be selected from Kwara State, definitely he will make above one thousandth on the list. It is worth appreciating that even a Professor (a supposed chief technocrat) like Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem does not only give many a thousand Kwarans good jobs, but also sponsors students like me to Universities in and outside Kwara. I am proud to be a beneficiary of TALBAsEducational Foundation (tuition, accommodation and pocket money inclusive) from my 100 to 400 Level. It is only Bolaji Abdullahis dictionary that defines technocrats as pitiless and inhuman people in the society. The opportunist easily forgot being a son of a tailor and petty trader by not having pity for poor class from his entry into Kwara as an aide to former Kwara Governor, Bukola Saraki till he was dismissed from Jonathans cabinet. He is proud of not being a philanthropist and claims it was his skills that favoured him, so nobody (either politician, job seekers, financial assistance seekers and others) should expect anything from him. He remains the only politician I have ever seen, who never wanted to see old women, job-seeking graduates and formidable youths except on election periods. After elections, he ran incommunicado by changing his phone numbers every six month of each year till subsequent election periods. He is indeed the major reason for the mass remaining of Ubandawaki people (including myself) in PDP as against Saraki’s political dynasty and the loss of popularity of APC in our ward. Some of his wickedness and cruel acts to people are as narrated beneath. » AS A SPECIAL ASSITANT FROM 2003-2007 Bolaji Abdullahi was so fortunate to be invited down to serve his state through his few Pro-Saraki articles (too primitive compared to what young guys who are not even trained journalists write now a days) on dailies, mostly on his primary employers publication, This Days Newspaper. Upon his appointment as Special Assistant on Communication and Strategies to Dr. Bukola Saraki in 2003, Bolaji Abdullahi who was the only indigene of our ward in the cabinet of Bukola Sarakis first regime enjoyed hailing from Ubandawaki but was so uncomfortable associating with people of the ward. He was so proud that he dissociated from all his childhood friends like Mr. Abdullahi Gold, Rasak Agaka and many other contemporaries of his. He shunned them when come across in town and raised shoulders towards everybody, as Omo oju ori ola ri. This detached attitude of him, to associate with his people was partially broken by a group of elites (graduates and undergraduates) from Ubandawaki Ward called The Image Maker who lorded the position of their forums Patron on him. The group which organised seminars to honour him, summer lessons and several political innovations to promote him was at the end disappointed as Bolaji found it difficult to empower any of them through job facilitation into the state Civil Service or any other forms of human capacity development. This resulted in the serious feud between him and the then executives of the forum, especially, its then President, Engr. Baba Qaudri Obi of Ubandawaki Compound who later got Kwara Polytechnic Job facilitated by His Uncle Engr. Oba Saleeman (Former Kwara Poly Deputy Rector) through then then Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. AbdulKareem Babaita in 2005. Alas! No single point of democratic dividend enjoyed by Ubandawaki Ward and its people during the first tenure of Dr. Bukola Saraki owing to the uselessness of this pitiless man. » AS A COMMISSIONER FROM 2007-2011 Shortly after the selection called election (re-election with no serious opposition but Sarakis old ways) in 2007, Bolaji Abdullahi was pronounced the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology with the basic purpose of embezzling and laundering Kwara funds in the educational sector but disguising as a technocrat to reform our education sector in Kwara. This young man really made multi-million naira in our education sector to an extent of building 3 different mansions in the heart of GRA Ilorin simultaneously. The question in the mouth of deep-thinkers among Kwarans was what educational stand qualifies him as an educational technocrat? The answer was NONE because, history even has it how he went to the village to re-enroll for his WAEC through examination malpractices then. Most of his potent educational policies were designed by the likes of the late Prof. Ahmad Shehu Jimoh and other renowned educationists but the proud boy took all the glory as they make up larger portion of his Curriculum Vitae, despite those policies didnt place garish and kulikuli on the table of common and poor Kwarans. This discourteous man was so rude to many old teachers (including those that taught him in school) to an extent of slapping some of them for slight imperfections. Also, Bolaji attempted the dismissal of the President of Image Maker, Engr. Obi Baba Qaudri (employed by Engr. Babaita) from Kwara Polytechnic when he was appointed as the State Commissioner for Education in 2007, claiming he was spreading his not being useful around the community, but God failed him as the guy was employed into Federal Ministry of Housing and Environment by its then Minister, Architect Halimah Tayo Alao who is an indigene of Ubandawaki Ward by marriage in 2008 and she ensured he was made one of the pioneer personnel of NESREA (an agency under the ministry of Environment) upon its creation before she left federal executive. What about how he dismissed the Kwara young millionaire, Taofik Abdulrahman (CEO FIK Global Resources) from being his aide? Simply because Taofik was assisting people based on the Commissioners might, which did not go down well with the commissioner himself and his brother and Personal Assistant, Tunde Salmon. What a useless family is theirs! This is a natural revelation of a true son and a bastard. Taofik honourably left his useless job for United Kingdom for his Masters Degree and returned home after a year to establish his glowing company (FGR LTD), his dismissal was later transformed into blessing by Allah. Bolaji has since then been known for oppressing people with the word, there is no job for you from me. Whereas, we were very much aware of how he gave many of his girl friend jobs. What about his in-law (brother to his first wife), Isiak of Koto compound of Ita-Amon zone of our ward who outsourced Kwara Poly job by and for himself? Isiak who evidently informed his in-law how people were getting jobs from Kwara Polytechnic but he denied it as being impossible but Isiaks further pressure later made him delegated one of his aides to follow Isiak to Kwara Poly. At the end, by the Grace of God and Bolajis might, Isiak got that job out of hitches and troubles (hundreds of such chances were lost by our people). What about the teachers salary account he took to Bank PHB (despite it had just a branch at Unity then) then just because of a girl friend, Funmilola, now the third wife? All his empty promises still ring loud in our minds; he is an exact picture of a hypocrite (Manafikuna) just as being described by the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAW) that, whenever a manafikuna promises, he has pre-intended not to fulfill it. Bolajis promises end on tongue. A case study is when we, Youths of Ubandawaki Ward met with him at his office in 2009 under the platform of Waziri Youth Dev. Association (WYDA) Ubandawaki Ward, he confessed his elation over our vibrancy and literacy and promised to invite us for brotherly visit at home subsequently and to support our zeal in developing our ward. That promise never went beyond that day. That is one of his many deliberate promise and fail records. Some others will definitely come up before the conclusion of this piece. » THE 2011 ELECTION AND MY ENCOUNTER WITH HIM Prior to 2011 general poll, people of Ubandawaki Ward were so red-hot about the fruitless antecedents of Bolaji Abdullahi, particularly on the area of human capacity development for the Youths and empowerment for the old people despite he laundered far beyond his legitimate income and severances through his kangaroo ineffective education policies designed for him by the late Prof. Shehu Jimoh, “Every Child Counts”.
