THE MODEL When I first sought the mandate to represent the people of my ward, it was a rather tough bout. As a new entrant then, it was easy to make promises to soothe nerves. At my second attempt, I was closer to realities and challenges of office. While I held sway as elected chairman of Akure South Local Gov., I struggled less with intangibles and issues that hinder attainment of progressive politics. Gradually, I came in contact with what is the most important factor that aids performance in office. Gods wisdom, compassion and experience are three in one model that always will drag the thought of an elected officer to the demands of common man. It is a model taught me by a teacher called reality. As you look forward to the issuance of permanent voter cards and continuous registration, I urge you to participate in this exercise. Without your voters card, it will be impossible for you to elect me. I know by the grace of God and His continuous guide, I shall be victorious. Remember the working model for optimum dividend of democracy. I am compassionate about your well-being, possess the experience and driven by Gods wisdom. It is a divine agenda.
