THE NINJA IS THE PRESIDENT Follow the money, not the verbal ruckus. Let’s make The Badman Protocol relevant because music is about money, not just entertainment. Winky D deserves the title Ninja President, hence Zimdancehall artists should mind their language. Whilst local artist aim to beat Winky D, the ninja is fast moving out of their league all because of iTunes. iTunes is the leading music publisher at present with an estimate 25 billion song downloads in 2013, has four of Winky D’s albums. The single “Vashakabvu” from the album, Life Yangu, is number 14 on the TOP selling Reggae songs on iTunes (14.03.14) ahead of songs from Vybes Kartel, Konshens, Busy Signal, Buju Banton alike. If there was a music charts for hit songs and artists on Zimdancehall, Winky D will occupy the number one right down to number hundred, and maybe Sniper, Shinso, Guspy Warrior, Freeman will scramble for number 101. Until Zimdancehall publish hit singles that are in the top 100 of iTunes, they should shut up and look up to Winky D, the Ninja President. Just as Beenie Man and Bounty Killer can admit that Sean Paul and Shaggy are far better than them, reality is Winky D is making money even if he wins not local competition. Fact. Like the artist or not, his representing Zimbabwe in the top 100 dancehall songs is fact not fiction. Respect and honour is due to the President and his team. (C) ZIMBA NICE 2014...#sirlumat
