THE OBSERVER. THINKING ALOUD......From Mwanawasa to the current Presdo Sata,we ve had almost similar health challenges of the incumbent Presdos and just like elsewhere in other countries like Cuba and Venezuela,but each nation ve handled it differently as regards to secrecy,transparency,successions,accountability and informing their citizens.The current Zambian constitution Article 36 provides for a motion to consider the question of the physical and mental capacity of the President to carry out the functions of the office of the President while on the other hand it is silent or mute to would aspire for republican Presidency i.e interms of mental and physical capacity.Well like always I ve some questions lingering in my mind and these are as follows. 1.Should the aspiring Presidential candidates be subjected to a tribunal or a set of doctors to assertain their physical and mental capacity? 2.Is the Zambian constitution leave some loop holes interms of muteness or or what is stipulated? 3.How is the current regime handling the Presidents affair interms of transparency,secrecy and informing its citizens daily? 4.How do you compare the status quo to that of Mwanawasa regime? 5.What are the challenges that we can learn from Cuba and Venezuela,so that the potential investors feel secured and to avoid the fluctuating of the dollar rate? 6.Are the handlers of the Presdo,adding value or not? 7.If the current scenario is causing political and economical malaise in the country,then how can this be done differently to avoid panic etc? 8.In Zambia or Africa at large Why is that this mediocrity succession challenge is so synmous with Africa? 9.As the young Turks what lessons are we learning from this SATAS predicament or quagmire,are you also in the forefront of just proving that he is okey by posting stage managed or still pics to prove he is okey or providing leadership? 10.Should we amend the constitution qualifications clause concerning those who are aspiring for the Presidential candidates? The bible says that Iron sharpens Iron,whats your say?
