THE ONE CLUB ARGUMENT Pele has been regarded as the greatest player to eva take to the field. A legend in the sports. He gave a very emotional speech even acknowledging those hu cleaned his boots. Many fail to hail him as football king since he ddnt win the world cup alone nor played for more than one club. d@ being said, wining the world cup 3 tyms is not an easy task not alone being the only player to do so. He wasnt reali instrumental in the first but was a hero in the rest. Maradona on the other hand is smtyms hailed higher than Pele. I am tempted to blive he is not given that honour only bcos of his drug case. but d@ being put aside he was brilliant on the pitch. pure talent. The main contention is the fact that Maradona played for clubs in Europe and was actually successful. well some will not classified his tym @ barca as successful even dough he is one of few pple to receive standing ovation from Madrid faithfulls. that is not an easy thing to do or achieve. It means u played pure football in an outstanding way. Back to the issue technically Pale did not play for jux one club. He played for Cosmos in US. but d@ was after he came out of retirement and it after his prime days. He achieved success with Santos. even going on to win the intercontinental cup. Maradona on the other hand single handedly (if am permitted to say so) lifted Napoli not put them on the world football stage. winning European cup de Scudeto only to mention a few. wen one is arguing in comparison to one club footballers and multi club footballers these two are usually the basis. However there are others lyk Gerrard and Lampard. The root of this article however is the comparison between Messi and Ronaldo. Ronaldo happen to play for 3 clubs now. smtyms pple even 4get he played for Porto n dont add his goal tallies der to his over all goals. Messi has played for one club since. The point is, should he move only to prove himself?? Ronaldo has done great at evry club he has played for on this basis sm pple feel it makes him better than his counterpart. I ones heard Sammy Kuffour say Messi need not move he has made his mark.
