THE PEOPLE WHO WILL ABIDE IN THE HELL-FIRE FOREVER -------------------------------------------------------------------- The people of Hell who will abide therein forever, never leaving it and never dying, are the disbelievers and polytheists. Allaah (s.w) says: But those who disbelieve, (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither it will have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever![35:36] But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) such are the dwellers of the Fire, they shall abide therein forever.[2:39] Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined. They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.[2:161-162] Know they not that whoever opposes and shows hostility to Allâh (S.W) and His Messenger (SAW), certainly for him will be the Fire of Hell to abide therein. That is extreme disgrace.[9:63] It is not for the Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh), to maintain the Mosques of Allâh (i.e. to pray and worship Allâh therein, to look after their cleanliness and their building, etc.), while they witness against their own selves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide.[9:17] They will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom, and theirs will be a lasting torment.[5:37] Then it will be said to them who wronged themselves: Taste you the everlasting torment! Are you recompensed (aught) save what you used to earn?[10:52] Death will be slaughtered, as is stated in the hadith narration from Ibn Umar by al-Bukhaari and in Muslim from Abu Saeed who said: The Messenger of Allaah of Allaah (saw) said: Death will be brought like a horned ram, and will be made to stand between Paradise and Hell. It will be said, O people of Paradise, do you know what this is? They will raise their heads and look, and will say, Yes, this is death. It will be said, O people of Hell, do you know what this is? They will raise their heads and look, and will say, Yes, this is death. Then the command will be given for death to be slaughtered. Then it will be said, O people of Paradise, it is eternal, there is no death. O people of Hell, it is eternal, there is no death. Then the Messenger of Allaah (saw) recited: And warn them of the Day of Grief and regrets when the case has been decided, while [now] they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not. (19:39) and in the narration of at-Tirmidhi, Abu Saeed al-Khudree added: If any were to die of joy it would be the people of Paradise and if any were to die of despair, it would be the people of Hell. (at-Tirmidhi, said This is a sahih hasan hadith). ********** AND ALLAH KNOWS BEST ************* __________________________________________________
