THE POWER OF A RIGHTEOUS TONGUE. The Bible says death and life - TopicsExpress

THE POWER OF A RIGHTEOUS TONGUE. The Bible says death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruits thereof (Prov.18:21).I believe there are two things the tongue can do: It can kill or nourish life. The use of our tongues is mirrored in our lives. Somehow our lives are shaped by the confessions we make. What we speak should be a verbalization of the belief in our hearts. Since lying is not brewed in the redeemed spirit (heart), we will not expect under normal circumstances, the tongue of a redeemed spirit to articulate it. I believe a Righteous man should be a man of unwavering faith. A man of faith is one who walks uprightly and speaks the truth in his heart (Ps.15:2). I believe the truth spoken by the tongue should be a product of the heart. I know sometimes people speak the truth that is not resident in their hearts. The truth spoken by the tongue should be what is lodged in the heart. Spoken truth that is not rooted in the heart is powerless in the sense that it cannot move any mountain but powerful in the sense that it speaks death. The Righteousness of the tongue is the Righteousness of the heart. The tongue cannot be Righteous if the heart is not redeemed. The power of a Righteous tongue is derived from a redeemed spirit. If a redeemed spirit is infested with lies, the tongue will be unrighteous irrespective of what it articulates. An unrighteous tongue that speaks lies is not empowered to operate in faith. If it says be healed in the Name of Jesus. The articulated words will not be able to connect by faith to the healing department of the Finished Works because the heart is not connected to the Finished Works. A tongue that lies cannot speak genuine words of faith. If you want to operate in faith, your speech should not be characterized by flattering, badmouthing, insults, false witnessing, gossiping, false allegation, pretense, idle talking, and all demonic employment of the tongue. I believe a tongue that speaks proud things cannot operate in faith that’s why the Lord will cut it off (Ps.12:3). Let us keep our tongues from evil and our lips from speaking treachery (Ps.34:13). We have the Grace to do so. What kind of tongue do you have? If you are a wise man your tongue should be healthy (Pr.12:18). I use to have a flattering tongue when I had an obstinate spirit. I use to have a perverse tongue when I had a proud heart. I use to have a backstabbing tongue when I had an unrepentant heart. Is your tongue poisonous? Do you have the devil’s bridle on your tongue? You can’t change the character of your tongue until you choose to allow the Spirit to change the character of your heart. I believe a healthy tongue is one that operates in faith. A Holy Ghost tongue is one that speaks only after the Spirit’s prompting. A hopeless tongue is a faithless (tongue without confidence) tongue that speaks after the devil’s prompting. At one time the Israelites said; We have become old, dry bones all hope is gone” (Ezk.37:11). The Lord took Ezekiel in the spirit to a valley of dry bones to speak the word of faith to the dry bones.
