WHICH CAME FIRST, the CHICKEN or the EGG? –PART FIVE What a great day today is! It is the VERY FIRST DAY of the rest of our lives! Allow me to appreciate all the PDI Alumni and friends of PDI for making us the leading and trusted brand in Personal Development education in Kenya. Your transformational stories continue to inspire me to teach on purpose, productivity and profitability. How was your weekend? Mine was awesome! On Saturday we had the Annual General Meeting for our FARM and I spent my Sunday afternoon doing what I love most- teaching PDI/TRM class at Deliverance Church Kasarani. We had a great class and watched a movie too! God works in a TEAM (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). In Genesis God said “It’s NOT GOOD for man to be alone”, this verse does not only apply to MARRIAGE, it applies to BUSINESS too! I dare you to name any organization that has impacted the world and is run as “Self…something”. All the great companies we admire are made up of TEAMS! Jesus had a team of 12, and one team member was CRAZY (Judas) and ALL the other team members had their strengths and weaknesses- there are NO PERFECT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, SO THEY ARE NO PERFECT TEAMS! I am very thankful to God that I don’t farm ALONE. God has given me the VERY BEST TEAM and I am eternally grateful for this gift. Are you a lone farmer or do you have a TEAM? If you have not read the previous articles, let me remind you that farming is “a SYSTEM of producing MORE from little”- many people LIMIT farming to CULTIVATION, HUSBANDRY &GARDENING- in essence EVERY BUSINESS IS A FARM and that is why it’s important to Think, Shift & Change your way of THINKING and as discussed in previous posts. We offer THINKING CLASSES at PDI and registration is going on for the June intake- thank you for the enquiries on online classes, we have received requests from Doha, Qatar, USA, Tanzania, and in the current PDI class we have a student who used to follow PDI on social media from France and the first thing she did when she returned home was to enroll for the class. PURPOSE IS A UNIVERSAL NEED and it’s thrilling when people contact us from various nations. In the great commission Jesus said “Go to ALL nations. Jesus idea of FARMING is LARGE SCALE and that is why I am challenging us to kiss the ONE ACRE mentality goodbye. One can chase a 1000, two will put 10,000 to flight! The math’s doesn’t add up, there is a divine provision from God for MORE PRODUCTIVITY when you work in a TEAM! In every FARM, there are various methods of harvesting, you don’t harvest wheat the same way you harvest maize and definitely you don’t milk the chickens when milking the cows! Remember the FARM operations of a RANCH are pretty different from the operations of one acre piece of land. Many people would rather hold on to their ONE acre than combine their acreages to have a RANCH. This is why many small businesses NEVER GROW to their full potential because of the SELF mentality. I would rather be in a TEAM , THINKING ABOUT A RANCH despite the challenges of team dynamics than own ONE acre alone. I would rather have a piece in a big cake than OWN a queen cake alone. Donald Trump says “If you are going to think anyway, THINK BIG”. I observed in Europe their different way of THINKING and FARMING, they have large malls and you find that ONE mall has an entire floor stocking clothes or shoes from different designers, I compared that with Nairobi where you find 1000 stalls with each stall just stocking a handful of clothes or shoes, so a customer has to walk into so many stalls before you find what you are looking for, the operational costs are also high for the FARMERS, there is power in UNITY, there is power in TEAMS. I am excited about the PDI SACCO because the possibilities we have as a PDI FAMILY are limitless! Have a great LIGHT! In Genesis God called the light, DAY!
