THE PURPOSE OF WEALTH... (the missing link) If you are seeking wealth for the sake of wealth, then you are missing the point. True and Genuine blessing of wealth is designed by God so you can lift up the lives of others, but if you consider piling up wealth and riches for yourself, read the Bible again! Im not against riches or wealth for it is part of Gods program in the human experience in a journey of life on planet earth. Ive seen people judging people by human standards of wealth and are living miserable lives within themselves, for within they are full of wickedness, malice and pride which are seen fully in their ATTITUDE toward others. Heres is an account on Jesus COMMENTS about (the balance of) spirituality and wealth: Luke 12:13-21: Someone in the crowd said to him, Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me. 14 But he said to him, Hey, man, who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you? 15 And he said to them, Watch out and be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for ones life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. 16 Then he told them a parable: The land of a certain rich man produced abundantly. 17 And he reasoned to himself, What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops? 18 Then he said, I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry. 20 But God said to him, You fool! This very night your soul is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be? 21 So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God. _______________ There is also one wealthy man in the Bible whom the Lord Jesus commands: ...GIVE TO THE POOR. We read that account in Matthew 19:21 wherein Jesus answered (the rich man): If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and GIVE TO THE POOR, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property (v. 22). In fact, from age to age (and ages to come) in many of the feasts representing the wealth, prosperity and abundance of Gods people Israel as a Nation, THE POOR is PART of the INHERITANCE in GODS AGENDA. The year of Jubilee is one of them and draws a message from the heart of God for the welfare of all man in planet earth. How Israel treats their poor represents how they are to behave as a nation that will bless all the surrounding nations as God promised to Abraham and his seed: In you shall ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED! That statement of God to Abraham is found in Genesis 12:3: I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and IN you shall ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED! And finally, we have met one man in the Bible having been so rich in POWER AND GLORY AND HONOR beyond fame and prestige, who stooped so low and humbled himself as a servant, emptied himself of the supernal and celestial splendor of the majesty of heaven and choose to became poor that we might become rich by his humiliation and shame, agony and suffering, yet by the life that he lived he said: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. —Luke 4:18-19 This man is JESUS. He showed the way, manifested a life of SUPERABUNDANCE, yet having the poor always in his heart and mind, and manifested it in his walk for Israel and ourselves to learn from, abide and to follow after. Your perspective of life as a wealthy man or woman should not be different than Jesus Christs, for in the life that Jesus lives is shown the full model of how man must live, from beginning to end —a life of SELF-GIVING, selfless and unselfish, a life borne of love... For God is LOVE. If you are doing it today, then you are truly wealthy. So KEEP DOING THAT and you will have an abundance! For I tell you the truth, there are levels of Gods riches in glory and honor as well, and it is from weight to weight, from wealth to wealth, from riches to riches, from faith to faith and from glory to glory, from one degree of experience to the highest pinnacle of glory attainable in Gods program for man.
