THE RETURN OF THE CHRIST........................ I am going to start from the prophets. Isaiah 53 vs 1-12 was talking about the Christ. Jesus did not fulfil the whole of Isaiah 53. He fulfilled 1-9. 1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Verse 10 recorded that he shall see his seed(offspring). It was also recorded there that He will satisfied with long life. He was called a servant in vs 11. Isaiah 53 vs 10-11. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Jesus did not give birth to offspring. Jesus is not a man that His days can be prolonged. Jesus did not fulfil vs 10-11. Remember that the word of God must accomplish the reason for which it is spoken. Isaiah 55 vs 11. 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Matthew 4 vs 6. 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Let us check where the devil took this scripture from. Psalms 91 vs 11-16. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. In vs 16, it was recorded that the Christ will be satisfied with long life. Jesus is not a man that can be satisfied with long life. Who then fulfils the scriptures that Jesus did not fulfil? When Jesus finished his mission on earth, He said He was going away and will come back again. Will Jesus literally return to this world??? Let us look at the reply Jesus gave when He was asked about signs of His presence on earth. Matthew 24 vs 3-5 and 23-26. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. If Jesus was actually the One coming, why did He warn against false christs who will claim that they came in the name of(sent by) Jesus? What is the chance of deception by the false christs when the people of the world know Jesus and some even have the pictures of Jesus. Here is the answer! Matthew 23 vs 39. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. To come in a persons name means to be sent by the person. If Jesus was talking about Himself at His return, He would have used I(...if they say I am in the desert...) instead of He(...if they say he is in the desert...). Isaiah 43 vs 10. 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. The servant that was chosen there is the Christ but, not Jesus. For this reason, Jesus repeated this same promise because the scripture has not been fulfilled. John 13 vs 18. 18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. The SERVANT is the christ that Jesus has chosen. Rev. 11 vs 15. 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. The Lord there is Jesus. Rev 22 vs 21. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. So if I want to re-quote, it will look like this. .....become the Kingdom of our Lord(Jesus) and of His christ(the chosen servant). The Servant is the Comforter(expected Christ) that Jesus is sending. John 16 vs 12-14. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Let me explain the statements of Jesus that seem contradictory. Jesus declared to His disciples that He will never come back again. John 16 vs 10. 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more. John 7 vs 33-34. 33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. 34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. Jesus said again that He is coming back. John 14 vs 1-3. 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Let me relate the CONTRADICTORY statements. Jesus said He is not coming back because He will never return literally to this world. Jesus said He is going to come back because the Comforter(expected christ) is the person that fulfils the coming of Jesus. When the world has received the Comforter(a teacher of the Word of God), it therefore means the world has received Jesus. John 13 vs 19-20. 19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. So the man Jesus who once came to this earth will never return to this world. The reason is that JESUS is GODs manifestation on earth. Jesus is GOD. Let us see the prophecies made before Jesus came. Isaiah 40 vs 3. 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.(...of our God and not Jesus). Malachi 4 vs 5. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD(...of the LORD and not Jesus). The name JESUS is foreign to the old testament. Let us see what Jesus said after He had ascended into heaven. Rev. 1 vs 8 and 17-18. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. The Almighty, First and Last refer to God. Isaiah 44 vs 6. 6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. The world He Jesus used was a conscious statement. John 13 vs 19. 19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. He refers to God. Isaiah 41 vs 4. 4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he. God fills everywhere and can manifest Himself in more than one million places at a time and still remains on His throne. Let me use oxygen as example. If an astronaut takes a cylinder of oxygen to space for breathing, it doesnt mean that oxygen is on earth. There is still oxygen on earth. Jeremiah 23 vs 23-24. 23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. Hebrews 7 vs 1-3. 1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. A being with the charateristics of Melchisedek is God. So JESUS is God and that is why He will never return to this world. Acts 1 vs 11. 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Dont allow the statement of the Angels make you feel that Jesus is coming back literally. Let me use the case of prophet Elijah and John the baptist to explain this. Malachi 4 vs 5. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.(I will send you Elijah and not someone like Elijah) The promised Elijah came but, the people could not recognise Elijah because, they were expecting Elijah the way the people of God are expecting Jesus. They taught the literal Elijah is the person coming back. Matthew 11 vs 13-15. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. 15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 17 vs 10-12. 10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. The Christ(servant) whom Jesus is sending is a complete human being like Moses. Deut 18 vs 18. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. He suffers rejection before revealed. Luke 17 vs 20-30 with emphasis on vs 25 and 30. 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Jesus will not literally return to this world. It is the Christ that Jesus has chosen that fulfils the coming of Jesus. Rev. 11 vs 15. Read my post about THE COMFORTER so that you can this message. More messages about Gods Kingdom and the Christ are still coming. Remain blessed!!!
