That is true! We come to the forks of lifes road and cannot decide which way to turn. There are decisions to be made and yet it is so hard to decide. We do get lost. We need guidance, and confidently David in the 23 Psalm declares, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness (in the right paths). Doubtless David remembers his own experiences as a shepherd. He knew that the sheep has no sense of direction. A dog, a cat, or a horse, if lost, can find its way back. They seem to have a compass within themselves. Not so with a sheep.
