THE SECOND OFFENSE OF JESUS And I tell you that you are Peter, - TopicsExpress

THE SECOND OFFENSE OF JESUS And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:18 (NIV) He had set up his own church. What was given before in the prophecy? Is it true that he had to put up his own church? And to read the prophecy again... When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men. II Samuel 7:12-14 (NIV) He will be called the son of God, which is the honor or title that will be conferred to the offspring if he succeeds in building the house with the Name of God. Jesus’ task was merely to point to the house with the Name of God. If he had led his people to see the house with God’s Name, the title of son of God will be bestowed on him, by his people, in recognition for his effort. This was supposed to be the blessing. The curse, if he commits iniquity he will be punished by men. The reason why God always gives His prophets a blessing and a curse is that all of them are men and not perfect. They may or may not follow God’s decree. Its up to them whether they will do it or not. Lets read again in... And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:18 (NIV) This was Jesus second offense; he had set up his own church and had abandoned the mission given to him by God. This was the blunder of the religions; they have taken the statement of Jesus as the foundation of their faith, when in fact this was Jesus iniquity. The religions read only the answer of Peter, but never read the question asked by Jesus. They could have seen the discrepancy. Jesus said that even hell will not overcome it. What other things did he say to Peter? I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19 (NIV) These are the promises made by Jesus to Peter, since Peter flattered Jesus; Jesus also flattered Peter in return. This is where the popes of the Vatican derive their authority, from the empty promises of Jesus to Peter. Did Jesus realize that he had committed a very serious offense? What did he tell his disciples? Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ. Matthew 16:20 (NIV) This is one proof that Jesus knew he had done a very serious offense. If he was the real son of God, why would he have to order his disciples not to tell everyone about him, being the son of God”?
