THE SUPERNATURAL AUTHORSHIP OF THE BIBLE VS THE NATURAL AUTHORSHIP - TopicsExpress

THE SUPERNATURAL AUTHORSHIP OF THE BIBLE VS THE NATURAL AUTHORSHIP OF OTHER (MANS) RELIGIOUS WRITINGS When we look at the Bible we can see that it is truly like no other religious material that has ever been written. When we study and examine the Bible very carefully, this becomes very apparent. We find that the Bible is a living book given to man from God. We find that the Bible is a spiritual book, though it also has practical moral applications in it (so that man knows how to live his live here on earth). Even when unsaved man follows the moral laws on a practical level they can live a very happy life and they can be very blessed, since, morally speaking, less sin brings less negative outcomes in situations, etc (this is why, for example, the divorce rate in a country like America decades ago was much lower, etc.). What we also find is that the Bible has supernatural authorship. Throughout the time that it took for the Bible to finally be completed, God moved in His holy prophets of old to write down every word that God spoke to them (Jeremiah 36:32; 2 Peter 1:21). While every translation today contains errors and even adds words that were not in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts, we know that these original texts are faithfully written and completely trustworthy. We know that every single word in the original text is from the mouth of God. But what may not be very obvious to many is that man could not have written the Bible on even a practical level the way it was written, even when we condescend to the practical thinking of man for a moment. Each book in the Bible, historically or spiritually, makes references to other books of the Bible or their teachings or prophecies (which are also inspired by God), proving that each book is divinely inspired by God. Fore example, the book of Esther makes a reference to the book of Chronicles: On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the kings chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. (Esther 6:1-2) When we examine the book of Esther and the book of Chronicles, we find that they have similar historical commonalities. What is more important is we also find that both books contain parabolic information that confirm each other, showing the super natural authorship of God. Other books of the Bible make references to the same historical events or prophecies or other prophets, but they all have the same parabolic format. All the books of the Bible have very much parabolic meaning. A parable is an earthly or historical story with a spiritual meaning. We find that Jesus, who is eternal God, spoke in parables: And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. (Mark 4:33-34) However, what many may not realize is that Jesus is the word made flesh (John 1:14) and God speaks to us through His word. The word of God speaks to the heart of His elect. Therefore, when Jesus said that He spoke in parables, it is not just conditioned to those historical events when Christ came in the flesh and spoke parables, like many churches today wrongly teach. Jesus speaking is the word of God and without a parable did He not speak. This is the word of God. Jesus further points out: All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (Matthew 13:34-35) Here we can see Jesus making a reference to an Old Testament passage and prophet that God used to write down His words. This again is verifying, in a practical and historical way, that the Old Testament is part of the Bible. But this is also showing us something deeper. Here Jesus is showing us that He reveals information through parables, even the parables that were written in the Old Testament. This passage is referring to the prophet David in the book of Psalms: Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (Psalm 78:1-4) David is not speaking about the words of His mouth here. God is using David to say this. Therefore, it is God who is saying this. When God says my law, He is speaking of the entire word of God. Through His word He opens His mouths in parables to utter dark sayings of old. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. (Proverbs 1:5-6) Gods elect are spoken of as wise men in the Bible (see 2 Timothy 3:15; Ecclesiastes 8:5) and we know that we study the Bible to understand parables and their dark sayings. Throughout the Bible we find parabolic language and this is were we find the deep spiritual meaning of the Bible. If we look at any other religious text today, we will not find parabolic language like the Bible contains. This alone shows us that the Bible is only one of a kind. We also find that the many prophets in the Bible, in different books, prophesied of the same events that were to take place in the very last days and even the time when Christ went to the cross in 33 AD to demonstrate the atonement that He made before the foundation of the world. If the Bible was written by man, then surely this would not be possible, since many of these prophets who God used to write the Bible lived hundreds of years apart from each other. So, as you can see, this once again shows us that these men could not have written the Bible this way by themselves. Furthermore, these prophets that God used to prophesy of the same events also further validate the authenticity of each book of the Bible. Now, if you look at any other religious book outside the Bible, you will not find this same parabolic language. This includes the Quran. The Quran makes references to Heaven in a way that appeals to the fleshly desires of mans flesh, whereas the Bible, being a spiritual book, was not written to appeal to mans fleshly desires. The Bible feeds and nourishes Gods elect spiritually. Gods elect are spiritually minded because they have the mind of Christ, therefore the carnal writings of man cannot sustain them. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:1-6) The religious writings of men appeal to the carnal desires of the natural mind and the flesh. The Bible however, does not appeal to mans natural fleshly desires. Those who are after the spirit mind the things of the spirit, whereas those who are of the flesh mind the things of the flesh, as it says here. If we are saved, we are of the spirit; we have Christs spirit indwelling, which is salvation. Upon salvation the elect are given the mind of Christ so that they can understand the spiritual things of the Bible, whereas the unsaved who are still naturally minded cannot understand these things (that is to believe from the heart) like the the elect can: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which mans wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:10-16) If a writing such as the Quran teaches that man will spend life in Heaven as they did on earth then that is something that appeals to the flesh. The Quran also makes references to doing other things that speak of fulfilling the fleshly desires in Heaven. Therefore, when we compare that to the Bible we find that there is a stark contradiction, proving the writings of the Quran to not be divinely inspired. The Bible doesnt appeal to the fleshly desires, but only to the spiritual desires which Gods elect have. Therefore Heaven would not be a place where we live like we did on earth fulfilling our fleshly desires. Furthermore, this shows us that the author of the Quran was carnally minded, since the focus of His writing only reaps to the flesh. Therefore, we again can know that the writings of Muhammad are not at all God inspired. We can know that any religious text outside of the Bible is not from God. We can also know this because the Bible clearly teaches that any other writings outside of the Bible are not from Him (Revelation 22:18-19).
