THE Singapore Story Continued (Since Singaporeans are exhorted to write the next chapter of the story) The next chapter of the Singapore story will be a tentative denouement with a deus ex machina involving a built-in self-destruction mechanism within the PAP allows Singaporeans to live happily ever after or a generous foreign country that offers miserable Singaporeans the chance to leave happily ever after. There will also be Volume II in which the previous Singapore story is revealed to be the fantasy of a ninety-year-old mad scientist with a virile imagination that gets intercepted (hence the deus ex machina) by characters that have either independently and spontaneously developed sentience or had done so because the madman had perversely imbued them with sentience (for suffering becomes real with sentience). Thus the quest for the wretched characters to transcend the mad scientist’s solipsism and reimagine themselves out of existence began...
