THE TALE OF TWO STEVES! SATURDAY NIGHT STEVE AT COMEDY CLUB: I told that mother f*cker, You betta get the f*ck out mah face! Ah dont play that sh*t! SUNDAY MORNING STEVE ON TBN: Praise the Lord! God has truly been good to me! See--God blesses faithfulness! There must be two Steve Harveys or the one Steve Harvey is fashionably bipolar. Scripture says, Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be (James 3:10). Harvey has spent years on end cursing upon a sandstorm at Saturday night comedy clubs, then waking up the following morning to bless the Lord on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and talk about the goodness of God. What hast thou to do to declare My statutes, or that thou shouldest take My covenant in thy mouth? Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest My words behind thee . . . Thou givest thy mouth to evil (Psalm 50:16,17,19). Look at God ripping those who, on the one hand want to quote His Word and try to even teach it, while on the other hand not trying to live it in any way, giving their mouth the evil. Did Harvey ever read that passage of Scripture? TBN is so hard up to draw viewers to their programs that they are willing to go so far as to compromise Gods righteous standards by having morally profane, fence-straddling Steve Harvey host on their Christian network. This the kind of hypocrisy that prompted Jesus Christ to thunder, I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth (Revelation 3:15,16)! What did the Lord mean by a Christian being lukewarm? He means the kind of Christian like Steve Harvey who has one foot in the Church and the other foot in the world. This is the kind of Christian who, when he is amongst non-Christians, cusses and behaves himself in a profane manner. But then, so soon as he comes among devout Christians, he suddently gets all sanctimonious and teary-eyed, lifting his hands in praise to God. Its obnoxious! These are the kinds of people that disgust the Lord Jesus to the point where and when He will spue them out of His mouth for the tepidity of their devotion to Him. That is why Jesus asks Harvey and all those like him, And why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46). And what of you?---are you embracing that Steve Harvey kind of spirituality, that profane piety where you praise the Lord on the one hand while cussing like a sailor on the other? If so, you are in jeopardy of ultimately losing your salvation in the end. Thats just how serious Almighty God is about people who use profanity. As it is written, For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37). Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth (Ephesians 4:29). And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean (Ezekiel 44:23). Whenever asked about his profane potty mouth, Harvey always responds with the lame excuse, Im not there yet! (Same lame excuse Tyrese Gibson uses.) But Harveys been using this excuse for over two decades now. Two decades! But how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop, Steve?! It doesnt take forever for a Christian to stop cussing if they are sincere about it. I used to cuss worse than Steve, and I would bust you in your face if you had something smart to say about it. But I stopped cussing the very same day I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Thats how long it takes to stop cussing if you truly love the Lord and have a made up mind--the same day. Real talk!
